Office complex The Verse

South of the main railway station in the area of Bayerstrasse, Paul-Heysestrasse and Schwanthalerstrasse, ‘The Verse’ is being built on the site of the ageing Postbank site. Offices, restaurants and shops are to move in there. A small city park is planned for the centre. Unlike many large-scale construction projects, ‘The Verse’ will see the old building complex partially gutted; recyclable materials will be separated from building rubble so that two thirds of the old building fabric will be retained. This saves ‘grey energy’. The demolition work has largely been completed. The next step will involve renovation and remodelling work on the remaining building stock as well as a partial new build. The future office quarter will then have space for up to 7,000 employees. Completion is planned for 2027.
