Campus Strehleranger
A new educational facility is strengthening Neuperlach: the Strehleranger Campus. It was built as part of the city's educational construction initiative and will open for school operations in 2023. The new campus includes a primary school, a secondary school, an inclusive children's centre, a triple sports hall with open spaces and an underground car park. There is also a grass playing field, a running track and a beach volleyball court.
Most of the roof areas of the Strehleranger Campus are green. A 610-square-metre photovoltaic system provides around 100,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Rainwater seeps away on the property, in line with the sponge city principle. Clear structures, natural materials and an open, light-flooded room concept characterise the campus architecture.
