Before demolition, the Quidde Centre was used for temporary purposes...
... and there was a residents' meeting.
Former Quidde Centre and ‘Quidde35’
More than 20 years ago, the Quidde Centre was a local shopping centre for around 10,000 residents, with shops and stores for everyday needs as well as doctors' surgeries, restaurants and neighbourhood facilities. Then the centre stood empty and was demolished in 2021. Now the site lies fallow and is cordoned off with a construction fence. In future, two new buildings with a total of 177 residential units on six to eight floors are to be built on the site.
Currently, the neighbourhood shop ‘Quidde 35 – Raum für Stadtsanierung’ (Quidde 35 – Space for Urban Redevelopment) is revitalising the surrounding area. ‘Quidde35’ is located on the ground floor of the St. Jakobus site in the immediate vicinity, more precisely at Quiddestraße 35, hence the name. Quidde35 is the point of contact for Neuperlach residents for all questions relating to urban redevelopment in Neuperlach. The MGS district management is active there on behalf of the urban redevelopment project, holding consultations and events on redevelopment issues.
