Domagkstraße is being redesigned to be more bike- and pedestrian-friendly; as part of this project, the bus stops will also be made accessible.
Construction work on all sections is expected to be completed in 2028.

Domagkstraße
Domagkstraße connects Leopoldstraße and Ungererstraße and provides access to Parkstadt Schwabing. In 2026, the City of Munich began the bike-friendly renovation of Domagkstraße. The goal is to improve safety and comfort for pedestrians and cyclists: bike lanes will be built on both sides in sections, sidewalks will be widened, and median islands will be created to make it safer to cross the street. Accessible bus stops with shelters and the renovation of street lighting and traffic signal systems are also planned.
Construction will initially take place between Ungererstraße and Walter-Gropius-Straße. This will be followed by the section up to Gertrud-Grunow-Straße. Work is expected to continue to Weimarer Straße in 2027, with the final section to Leopoldstraße following in 2028. Construction is expected to be completed in 2028.
