Office complex The Verse

South of the main railway station, in the area around Bayerstraße, Paul-Heyse-Straße and Schwanthalerstraße – on the site of the ageing Postbank complex – “THE VERSE” is being built. The development will house offices, restaurants and shops. A small urban park is planned for the interior. Unlike many large-scale construction projects, “The Verse” involves partially gutting the old building complex; recyclable materials are separated from construction waste, ensuring that two-thirds of the original building fabric is preserved. This helps to save “grey energy”. The demolition work is largely complete. The next step involves refurbishment and conversion work on the remaining structures, as well as the construction of a new section. The future office district will then provide space for around 3,500 employees. Completion is scheduled for 2028.
