Smaller flats for the individual, but more communal areas for everyone – that is the concept of the new housing complex of the wagnis cooperative. The five buildings function like a small city within the city. There are individual flats, house communities with shared living rooms and kitchens, and so-called cluster flats. The cluster flats are small and, apart from a bathroom, only have a kitchenette. The semi-public spaces between the buildings serve as meeting points and spaces for encounters and are made up of a sequence of differently designed squares. The green finger to the south of the construction site transports fresh, cool air from the surrounding area to Freiham and Neuaubing and is a public recreational area that runs from west to east through the neighbourhood.
