A discussion on urban design with City Planning Councillor Elisabeth Merk and Prof. Dietrich Fink, 2025
PlanTreff
PlanTreff is all about urban development in Munich. As a public platform, it hosts events centred on the themes and responsibilities of the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations. Whether it’s an exhibition, a workshop, a panel discussion, a citizens’ council or a city walk – a wide variety of formats invite people to contribute their ideas, have their say and get involved in the planning process. PlanTreff has been in existence since 1995 and remains a unique initiative in Germany to this day – a permanent venue for the ongoing discussion of urban development with the city’s residents. The ‘Gerberblock’ building used to house a printing works. Today, Blumenstraße 31 is one of three locations of the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations of the City of Munich.
